SUMMARY:Online: Multi-Session Series- Mastering Manual Mode
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our new Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. If for some reason you cannot attend one of the sessions\, don’t worry! They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nMastering Manual Mode\nLearning about photography can be a real challenge. There are so many pieces to the puzzle of photography\, some of which use confusing terminology. For this reason\, we often start newcomers off using the Priority Modes because it’s “easier”. In reality\, these priority modes are just a short-term solution. It’s important to fully understand the “why” and “how” of your camera settings\, and learning to master manual is an excellent way to do so.\nThis Multi-Session Series will focus on Mastering Manual Mode. In week 1\, we?ll cover the technical side of aperture\, shutter\, and ISO. We?ll also discuss metering modes\, reading your meter\, and understanding histograms. In week 2\, we?ll learn to control depth of field\, focusing\, and how lens choice affects aperture choice. By week 3\, we?ll discuss how to use shutter speed effectively to either blur your motion or freeze your action. We?ll talk about shooting at night and in low light. We?ll also talk about ISO and how it controls image noise. In week 4\, we?ll put everything together by discussing dynamic range\, white balance\, and how to get the correct exposure in camera every time. We?ll also answer the most important question of all: which change should I make to achieve my desired results?\nEach week Emily will give an assignment to help further the topics covered in that week?s class. Students are encouraged to send in assignments that will be individually critiqued by Emily each week. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about your camera in a fun and safe environment! Join us to strengthen your photographic knowledge!\nIn this session of Beginner Photography in the Field…\n…we will be going to Portsmouth\, New Hampshire. Portsmouth\, New Hampshire is a large eclectic town along the coast of New Hampshire with a blend of new and old architecture amid a variety of shops\, restaurants\, docks\, boats\, and colors.  The end of the day and night time is a rich and beautiful time for creating photographs.  We will discuss and demonstrate various techniques for shooting in low light scenarios in and around Portsmouth using available light.  This is such a vibrant area and a terrific chance to learn about photography at blue hour and into the night for long-exposures. If you’re a beginner and you also want to learn about how to shoot in low-light and night situations\, this is a great opportunity! Bring your camera and your enthusiasm to learn all about photography in a hands-on\, real-life environment!\nAnd yes\, you’ll end up with images in the end like those you see here.

DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our Multi-Session Series. In our Multi-Session Series\, we will meet over the course of a number of weeks\, generally at the same time each week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. In each of these classes\, we will have 10-15 attendees and provide direct feedback on images. We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery!\nLandscape Photography\nLandscape photography is one of the most easily accessible genres of photography and is enjoyed by many. What does it take to create a landscape image that stands out? Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we go beyond “F8 and be there” and dive deep into the technical\, artistic\, and practical aspects of landscape photography.\nIn week one\, we’ll cover what it takes to plan and the settings necessary for your best shots. We’ll also talk about the gear all landscape photographers should have in their bags and what to do when the weather just won’t cooperate. In week two\, we’ll edit landscape images from start to finish using Adobe Lightroom Classic. By week three\, we’ll discuss composition\, dynamic range\, depth of field\, and focus. We’ll also discuss when to shoot in color and when to shoot in black and white. In our last week\, we’ll cover shooting and editing HDR images and panorama images in Adobe Lightroom Classic. We’ll also cover shooting landscapes at night as well as astrolandscapes. Each week\, Emily will give an assignment to hone your new skills and each student will receive individualized critiques. SUMMARY:Online: Digital Photography Basics 2- Focus\, Lenses\, Depth of Field\, RAW and More
DESCRIPTION:In a continuation of our Digital Photography Basics 1 class\, this course continues by discussing more very important elements\, including how to get better results with focusing\, depth of field\, photographing in RAW vs JPEG and more! This course offers an excellent opportunity to continue learning about the many elements of Digital Photography!\nJoin us as we continue learning about Digital Photography!\nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information.\nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions\, but if not\, feel free to ask them at the end.\n?You Are Being Recorded? (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don?t worry about taking unending notes. We will send this link attendees to download and rewatch at any time. In addition to this\, we will generally send out a PDF of the presentation (when applicable) and handouts on the topic. If handouts and PDFs are included\, we will send it out with the link for the video.\nCan’t attend the class? \nIf you can’t attend the class but still want to download the video\, no problem: Just sign up for the class!
