SUMMARY:Hunt's Spring Expo Seminars: Video- for Photographers... with Shiv Verma
DESCRIPTION:This session covers all basic aspects of video creation.\n?Equipment for video and how to best utilize them. This will include recorders\, rails\, jibs\, sliders\, gimbals\, etc.\n?Understanding resolution\n?Exposure\, shutter speed\, and shutter angles\n?Switching devices\n?Lighting equipment and technique.  Use of portable and stage lighting\, getting the best look\, use of shadows for effect\n?Audio recording.  Equipment\, including recorders\, microphones (types)\, how to wire your subjects for interviews\, stage performance\, and outdoors.\n?Pre-production ? The Montage – creating the story\, developing the scenes\, developing the takes that depict the intent.\nWe will cover the basic types of shots that effectively tell the story.\n?Composition and framing\n?Camera movement techniques\, focus techniques\, and the use of assistive devices like rails\, tracks\, jibs\, and cranes.\n?Controlling the viewer’s perspective\n?Enhancing the viewer’s experience\n?Slow motion and frame-rates\nEnsure footage is captured correctly the first time including Exposure setting\, Balancing for Lighting\, Camera White balancing and Multi-Camera Matching with specific emphasis on skin tone.  We will demonstrate the use of scopes and waveforms to establish camera settings and matching. This takes advantage of seeing the ?final? look while shooting using video monitors and recorders.\nAbout Shiv\nShiv Verma\, FPSA\, MNEC is a published author\, photographer\, educator and technologist. He is a Panasonic Lumix Global Ambassador\, Wacom Pro-Artist and an X-Rite Coloratti. He has been photographing for over 50 years and has evolved his photography to express his intense devotion to wildlife and nature. Over the years has earned numerous awards and recognition both nationally and internationally. Shiv devotes a great deal of his time formally reviewing photography related products\, to education in digital photography and is a speaker and competition judge.\nShiv?s book Time-Lapse Imagery was published in February 2014.

Topics covered will include pre-visualizing scenes\, selecting camera settings\, in-field techniques\, and a few tips on post processing these special images. \nThis will give participants the basic tools to start experimenting on their own in the field to create unique images even in popular shooting locations or with common backyard subjects.\nAbout Bender\nBender is a professional nature photographer\, writer\, educator\, and tour leader based in the USA. Her passion for wildlife and the natural environment compels her to connect others with nature through sharing both visual art and in-field experiences that promote conservation\, creativity\, and ethical photography.
