SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Low Light at The Longfellow Bridge
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a night photo walk featuring the Longfellow Bridge. During the walk\, we will discuss many of the aspects of photographing in low-light and at night\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition\, and more. Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nThe Longfellow Bridge\, sometimes referred to as the “salt and pepper bridge” due to the shaker-like shape of the bridge pillars\, connects Boston’s Beacon Hill district with Kendall Square in Cambridge. The bridge has stood for over a century\, with major upgrades and renovations only occurring in the early 2010s. In late 2018\, the bridge was enhanced with new LED lighting\, bringing stunning new views to this unique structure. On this walk\, we will spend time photographing the Longfellow Bridge and Boston from numerous angles\, making use of evening light\, civil twilight\, and night time.

These photographs will be hung in our Hunt’s Photo Gallery in Melrose for the month of December\, after which you will be given the print.\nThis will be a fun and challenging workshop that will walk you through the full process of creating stellar holiday macro imagery. We will stay with you during the editing process\, and even guide you in understanding the best processing for a final print. Join us for one of our favorite workshops of the year!

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: A Morning at Plimoth Patuxet
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk at the historic Plimoth Patuxet in Plymouth\, Massachusetts. This walk will have an emphasis on storytelling with lots of opportunities for environmental portraits\, macro\, landscape\, and low light photography\, all under the guise of a 17th century New England settlement. \nFounded more than 65 years ago\, Plimoth Patuxet is a living history museum that depicts the life and culture of America’s first settlers in the 17th century. The settlement is complete with houses\, gardens\, animals\, and pilgrims that live and speak just as if it was 1627. The grounds\, homes\, and settlers make for wonderful studies in light\, architecture\, detail\, and portraiture. \nPlease note: The cost of your ticket does not include entrance to Plimoth Patuxet. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

SUMMARY:Online: Alternative/Creative- Color Theory
DESCRIPTION:Color theory is the study of how colors work in harmony together and how they affect our feelings and viewpoints. Knowing color theory makes us a better photographer in many ways. It helps us see the world in a new way\, giving us insight into subject choices and stronger compositions. Color theory also aids in the editing process\, allowing us to make faster and more succinct decisions in the hue\, saturation\, and luminance of the tones in our images. We can use color theory to enhance the emotions and messages we hope to portray in our images. \nJoin us for a fun evening where Emily Hojnowski\, Lead Educator at Hunt’s Photo\, shares her passion for both the science and aesthetics of color! Then\, you’ll put your new knowledge and inspiration into action by creating new images for an image review!  \nJoin us\, do something fun\, and get creative!
