Harness your creative power with photography! \nThis is one of the first classes to consider when you’re getting started with your Digital SLR or Mirrorless camera. We will discuss Exposure (how light works with the camera)\, the Big Three Settings (Aperture\, Shutter Speed\, & ISO)\, how they affect your picture and how to set them\, and what mode to set it to on your camera! We’ll discuss changing depth-of-field (controlling what’s in focus in the background\, stopping or blurring the action in your scene\, and many other basic picture-taking techniques. We recommend taking this class prior to Digital Photography Basics 2\, which is the next logical step! \nJoin us to start learning about Digital Photography! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. DESCRIPTION:After learning “the basics” of digital photography\, become more comfortable in the world of digital photography by taking the next step.\nLearning about photography can be a real challenge! For this reason\, we often start newcomers off using the “Priority Modes” (Ex. Aperture Priority) because it’s “easier”. In reality\, these priority modes are just one solution. For some photographers\, there is only the manual mode. But why is it important to shoot in the Manual mode? Are there reasons to use manual vs. Aperture priority and vice-versa? How can we maximize usability?\nIn this class\, we will cover:\n• Your Camera’s Light Meter and how it works\n• Use of Aperture Priority vs. Manual modes\n• Histograms\n• Photographing in RAW vs. Jpeg\nUnderstanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera’s settings in those situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course.

DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education on a beautiful photo walk photographing plants and flowers with an emphasis on macro photography. Due to space constraints\, we will also be working handheld–without tripods! We will maximize our quality to get the best shot while in this situation! This is a great exercise to work handheld to get the best shot! During this walk\, we will work on use of color\, close up/macro photography\, depth of field\, exposure and use of reflectors/diffusers.\nFuller Gardens is a public\, non-profit botanical garden in North Hampton\, New Hampshire. The gardens include continuously blooming flowers\, emphasizing a rose garden and dahlias throughout the season. From the beautiful falls to the greenery of the trails leading to it\, Profile Falls is an excellent location to learn about photography. This session can be taken with or without a tripod\, giving you the ability to walk freely or learn a little bit extra about creating longer exposures!  Bring your camera and your enthusiasm to learn all about photography in a hands-on\, real-life environment!

Specifically\, we will cover:\n•Brief Computer File Management\n•Importance of Keywords\n•Attributes– flagging\, rating\, color coding\n•Searching metadata to find images\n•And more!\nLightroom is an extremely robust and important manager of files\, and knowing how to utilize it is paramount to being able to find and edit your images! \nThis course is an excellent lead in to our Editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic classes.\n \n \nAn important note about this course! There are now a few different versions of Adobe Lightroom right now.This course is specifically on Adobe Lightroom Classic. The other version of Lightroom\, commonly known as “Adobe Lightroom CC” (yes\, we understand you may be confused by this) is a more mobile and cloud-based program. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Blithewold Manor\, Gardens\, and Arboretum
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Education for a walk at Blithewold Manor\, Gardens\, and Arboretum in Bristol\, Rhode Island! \nBlithewold is an historic estate that includes a 45-room mansion\, gardens with a variety of plants and flowers\, and an accessible greenhouse. The summer mansion was originally built in the late-19th century\, but was rebuilt in the early 20th century after a fire destroyed the initial structure. It reflects the changing style of architecture to fit modern needs.  The mansion was designed to be the centerpiece of the gardens\, which included a variety of trees and plants not native to the area. The estate also contains beautiful views of the Narragansett Bay. On this walk\, we will split our time between the manor and the gardens. \nPlease note: There are no tripods allowed on the grounds. A fast lens is recommended for shooting in the manor and a standard zoom or macro for the grounds\, gardens\, and arboretum. \nAlso: The cost of this walk does NOT include the cost of entrance to Blithewold. Tickets are $22 and should be purchased at the Welcome Center when you arrive.

DESCRIPTION:Old Orchard Beach is a premiere location along the coast of Maine for photography. A 7-mile stretch of land\, there are many unique and picturesque locations along the coast\, as well as wonderful seaside shops. Join Hunt’s Photo Education on a late afternoon/sunset walk of Old Orchard Beach where our emphasis will be creating long exposure images of the shoreline and more! On the walk\, we will discuss numerous aspects involving sunset\, including exposure\, composition\, and how to capture the vibrancy of the scene during sunset. (As of this time\, there will also be fireworks\, weather depending!) Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk in Portsmouth\, NH. During the walk\, we will discuss many of the aspects of photographing in low light and at night\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition\, and more. Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nPortsmouth\, New Hampshire is a large eclectic town along the coast of NH. The town features a blend of new and old architecture amid a variety of shops\, restaurants\, docks\, boats\, and colors. The end of the day and night time is a rich and beautiful time for creating photographs. We will discuss and demonstrate various techniques for shooting in low light scenarios in and around Portsmouth using available light.
